This refurbished BAS 100 welds band saw blades by flash butt and cleans the joint with its own hydraulic de-burrer; a positioner locates the blade before the jaws close on it. The annealing stage is the part worth noting: the pyrometer reads the temperature and the machine holds it, so the heat treatment does not vary from one operator to the next. Mass is 500 kg.
